Six Pack vs Bucks Masters (18th Feb)

18th Feb, 2.30pm, Turf City
Round 1 Match Objective:
Keeping the flow in the attack (ACCOMPLISHED)
Score : 7-1
Playa of the Day: Khairul
Dick of the Day: Yum Hwa & Jielun (Tied)
Play of the Day: Hairul's blistering run, slicing through the middle for the try of the day

A solid 15 man squad turned up to represent, “the six pack of pussy burners” (6PPB) in their baptism of fire against a more experienced ViagraTM fueled “Bucks Masters” team.

This opening match of the summer League looked to be a classic encounter of age and experience V’s youth and flair. The blue and white strip of 6PPB represented no less than 5 nations and was supported by the leagues most vocal and attractive supporters.

After 5 minutes stale mate the Bucks Masters defence started to succumb to attacking pressure only for the 6PPB to become their own worst enemy. The Singaporean contingent of Jye Luen and Yum both proved myopia was alive and well as they successfully touched down for scores in the neighbouring pitch. Jye Luen (who famously attempted to score before the try line in a previous season) latched onto a pass from acting dummy half Leander only to replicate Forest Gump in running off the end of the pitch. In a carbon copy incident only minutes later Yum, eager to show on the job training isn’t his strong point, accepted a selfless pass from Leander and equaling Jye Luens knowledge of pitch geography also touched down in the dead ball zone.

Thankfully “actual” tries did follow from birthday boy Hadi,...

..Loo, Amila, and yours truly ..... but the pick of the bunch being Hairul’s second half effort as he steered himself through a gap in the weakening Bucks Masters defence with millimeter precision for an easy score.

However it wasn’t all plain sailing as the Bucks Masters side did prove that modern medicine and prosthetic joints can turn a bunch of aging ang moh’s into handy touch players. Not only did their team finish the match without any heart attacks or strokes they also managed to put 1 try passed the youthful 6PPB defence despite Dave’s best efforts at “body on the line defence.”

The match ended 7-3 to 6PPB with Khairul picking up man of the match for excellent support play and perfect execution of game plan and Jye Luen and Yum being awarded “dick of the day” for reasons stated above.

yours,
Alan "Hello Kitty" Lowton
