SMU Touch Carnival Report

A little overdue but thanks to David, we have a report, finally...

13 May, Sat, 12.00 pm - 6.30pm, Turf City

Group Matches:

I'm quite unclear bout how the games went, but I'm pretty sure that Eda showed her class to everyone at this stage of the tournament.

Also Yum had decided to step up his game and stepped up he did as he combined very well with his teammates. It was evident after much scrutinising of the crowd by Super Auntie, that it was WeiWei who probably gave him the much needed inspiration for the game.

Semi-Finals:

Am I high or is the guy beside me really wearing a gay top?

In the semis.... MaiNatsPayne beat the other team, Nothingterriffic.

It was the much eagerly anticipated match for MaiNatsPayne especially after the loads of shit stirring by Captain 'Super Auntie trying to step out of the Shadow' Chan. Player grabbing and stealing he went as the MaiNatsPayne Captain, Dave Marvel, went on an overseas SCC sponsored peace-keeping mission to strife-torn Pattaya. Proving his ability to do the despicable deed, he managed to steal the player who mattered most to Cappie Dave... she knows who she is. Coming back weary and groggy from the mission, Captain Dave soon found out that MaiNatsPayne were 3 Touch Singapore players and a Motivation (say wanna play my team) down.
MaiNatsPayne had playas who had relatively less than a year of competitive touch experience some with only 3 months experience.

Still MaiNatsPayne took it in their stride as they knew that any match between SRC teams would be played like a friendly. Unfortunately Captain 'Super Auntie' Arip had devised a diabolical plan of distraction as he dangerously engaged in pre-game psychological warfare. First, he used his highly secretive biological, svelte and gorgeous agent Ms Shazzle'A'Dazzle on the MaiNatsPayne Captain.

Thank goodness... her magic on him wasn't strong enough to break his desire to lead his team on. In the end.. she succumbed to his charm. Game set Match.. Double O Teo.

Well done there Cappie! In his own words "your agent cannot make it la... lukewarm". Hmmm something hotter next time i guess.

And if that was not enough!! 'Shortstop' had the audacity in placing everyone's favourite gay icon, 'Mr Buttcheeks' in front of the sweet and definitely not so gatal ladies of MaiNatsPayne. It was daring but it proved to be in vain. They were already in love with a certain match-winning angmoh.

You too, fatso... *slaps each other on the butt*

With everything said and done, MNP emerged victorious, a sterling performance... thanks to SRC's least favoured but most loved white boy, finishing off a brilliant solo effort after stepping, burning and diving past some really touch ladies. Typical English, no pride, but still taking it as it comes. We love you, Wigan.

Dust settled... I would just like to say... Well done Nittyriffic... u gals can really put up a fight.

Finals:

1-0 to the Barnabos. Anti-climax. Na bei.

It took some delayed reactions and a pair of experienced and also aged Wantoks to rewrite scriptures and lead the Barnabos to a gold. Someone in the crowd was heard during the prize-presentation saying "Nabei, 1 not enuff ar?" Which was soon followed by a serious debate among the intellectuals of what "jacking around" actually means.

Aye guys and gals from the both teams... Well Done! 2nd and 3rd! I know we expected better positions but overall it was a great bonding session for the sixpacks and ladies of both teams as we all got to play with each other and got to know the other playing styles better. Its probably a step closer to NTL 'Mixed Touch' if we're sending a team.

Six Packs- Communicate More!!! Talk alot in the Game!! Irritate the shit out of the opposition. Be Sheema. Big Voice... heh

Gals- Stay the Same....I already love you the way you are... some more than others... heh...

Spize Special Burger Review

What a treasure!!!
Big fat bun

this Belinda Carlisle song was playing in the background

"Ooh heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh heaven is a place on earth "

so it inspired me for a Mambo move for the song
If i ever go Mambo next time..

Sentosa Beach Rugby-Out (report to follow)

"... true teams rarely exist . . . social barriers and personal ambitions have reduced athletes to dissolute cliques or individuals thrown together for mutual profit . . .
Yet these rugby players, with their muddied, cracked bodies, are struggling to hold onto a sense of humanity that we ...have lost and are unlikely to regain.

The game may only be to move a ball forward on a dirt field, but the task can be accomplished with an unshackled joy and its memories will be a permanent delight.
The women and men who play on that rugby field are more alive than too many of us will ever be. The foolish emptiness we think we perceive in their existence is only our own."

Tattoo Tribute to Teammate

Following the recent article, “Loo hangs up touch boots”, in The Not-So-Straight Times, a member of the team has been reportedly seen to be sporting a new tattoo.

Due to legal reasons, his true identity may not be disclosed as he is still shy about displaying his newly inked body-art.

When asked why he did it, his reply was, “ I just couldn’t believe how he could leave so suddenly without saying goodbye to me. I thought I could make him happy, you know, but I guess things just didn’t work out. This is my tribute to him. I hope he knows that even though we might be parted, I still have him in my heart. And on my chest.”

Some might call it a drastic decision made without thinking and some might say he’s just an old-fashioned boy. Well, here at 6ppb.blogspot.com we like to think of it as a heart-warming tribute, if only, it wasn’t a stick-on.

“Aiyah, you think I really got money to make tattoo meh... I heard very pain also”

Puma VI 06 boot review

Reviewed by the English boy:
A boot change was necessary after a disappointingly short 6 month life span of the last Adidas pair. Introducing the Puma V1.06 boots, or as I like to call them my aggressive Hello Kitty’s. Made from real 100% imitation leather gives the consumer the added satisfaction of saving the hide of a cute cow. The design incorporates “go faster stripes,” ultra light thread like laces and a carbon fiber base to prevent friction damage whilst side stepping at speeds close to mach1. The lack of an over hanging tongue and a subtle point at the toe creates an aerodynamic shape and can make even the most macho rugby player look like a bit of a tart. Also available in red and black (for those like me who will probably never clean them)

Six Pack vs Tap Gun

29th April, 2.00pm, Turf City

Round 9 Match:

Score : 9-2

Fancy Dresser of the Day: 6-pack !!!!

Dick of the Day: 6-pack !!! Bunch of Dicks, aren't we all ?

Play of the Day: Adam scoring the try in his Nightie

It was to be the last game of the Summer Touch League but touch and go whether or not it would actually take place. With 5 minutes to before kick off the elusive Tag Gun only had 4 players registered. 6 Pack suspecting the intervention of some Pukeko ringers decided to stay focused and put the much anticipated fancy dress on hold even though the supporters didn’t.

Despite the turning up at the 11th hour it was Tap Gun who took an early 2 try lead catching 6 Pack napping and under prepared for the game. The thought of not being able to cross dress while playing touch was all it took to pull the team together and start scoring

The 6 Pack defense tightened up to prevent any more breaches by Tap Gun but the attack was misfiring leaving the score at an unconvincing 3-2 by half time. Not wanting to loose a match while wearing a dress it was decided to again postpone the fancy dress until the match was a foregone conclusion.

Fortunately this didn’t take long largely thanks to Amlia who scored a quick brace and set up another due to his simple trademark 5m move. The 6-2 score line put the game well out of Tap Guns reach and allowed 6 Pack to enjoy the rest of the game.

Adam signaled the start of the fancy dress by transforming himself into some kind of cross-dressing superhero and entered to pitch to the delight of the supporters and bewilderment of the Tap Gun team. More transformations followed which are best shown by these before and after shots

(Caution; you may find the following images disturbing!)

Super Auntie!

Captain Stallion setting a good example for all to follow

Kenny, that dress fits you too well to be a mere coincidence!

Shark boy, one of the more underrated heroes in the X-Men

Any excuse to wear your girlfriends clothes eh?

Bunny Boy (...does not hand out chocolate eggs)

Just the normal Saturday night attire for David then!

Jielun (sorry couldn’t find a before shot so I’ll assume you had this on all day)

Adam set a new record for being the first 6-pack member to score while wearing a dress; it was a very very proud moment for him

This try finished off a convincing 9-2 win over Tap Gun. Fortunately, than wasn’t the only cause for celebration as it was also Marlis Birthday!!

The finale even saw some members experiencing emotions they thought had been locked away in the closet or maybe it was the costumes that were just so convincing.

The Summer Touch League had proved to be a very enjoyable and a relatively successful baptism for the 6 Pack team. Standing around in a bikini at the end of the game, surrounded by guys with smiling faces and wearing dresses highlighted a lot of unity and how transformed the 6 Pack team had become from its humble origins only 6 months before. See for yourself!

A very special mention should go to our supporters who turn up without fail every weekend to take photos, record games, scream their lungs out and on days like this, to supply bikinis, help attach bunny ears and put on fishnet stockings.

Yours
Bunny Boy
