Six Pack Haka

The Haka is a common sight before rugby games involving Polynesian and Maori teams. Originating from traditional tribal dances it is used to summon strength and instil a sense of fear in opposing teams.

As part of a new team bonding strategy their resident ex pro dancer Sujan has created a purely Six Pack haka. This novel dance has taken into account the diversity in backgrounds seen within the team deriving aspects from a wide range of cultures.

“The majority of the Six Pack Haka is a merger of the ‘farmers jig,’ and the famous ‘Indonesian mating dance” explains Sujan.
“I deliberately used simple choreography that even white people can follow but added a little flare to cause confusion within the opposition”

The result is a compact dance that will make even the most experienced teams think twice about playing against Six Pack.

“All Six Pack members will be expected to learn the new haka before next weeks game. New players will be made to lead the dance from the front by performing the ‘bro’ role of the dance” explains Six Pack Captain Yohanes ‘look at it wiggle’ Leander.

Details of the dance can be downloaded from the link below and opened in powerpoint.
