The Straight Times
6-packs go all the way!!!

The NOT SO STRAIGHT TIMES
6-PACKIAN Dedicates Victory to Former Teammate and Current Beau.

Bukit Panjang- There were immense scenes of jubilation on the street of Petir, as 6-pack emerged Victorious in the Lion Red Touch Carnival. The fans of 6-pack packed the street, drinking and dancing. These events unfolded after 6-pack "TANTALISED" the crowd with their smooth flowing touch rugby. "I've never seen so much talent in a team before!" exclaimed Ms Marley Casby, a die-hard 6-pack fan. "But i wonder where the number 11 is...i really like him!!!he's so smooth!!!hmmph!!"

It was only a few days ago when some members of 6-pack were involved in a match-fixing scandal after an investigation was called by Team Captain Leander about a bizzare training incident in which a 6packian somehow managed to let The Barracuda team score a Try. The case is now closed as the offending member of the team apologised and has been granted amnesty. Amazing how Victory can transform the lowest of life forms into the greatest of heroes...Lets hope the Italian World Cup team will be inspired...

After much last-minute consideration...the boys decided to take part in the Lion Red Touch Carnival as they believed that it was their time to win and Petir Road was going to be the venue for that...

The fellas had to play on a really narrow and small pitch with only 5 players. But all these conditions really suited them very well because they normally had that much in attendance during training...nabei..

It has really been agonisingly painful to watch 6-pack play in finals as they tend to screw it up at the very last hurdle. And somehow the script looked to be unchanged when FUNBUST(a team of National Players) scored the first try of the final...

Petir Road fell silent..as heads went down in the 6-pack fans area felt the all too familiar "failure in the final" feeling creeping up again. But being in a final against national players brought about a change in the wind..a renewed determination, a smell that signalled 6-pack's arrival..and yes it came in the form of Alan's...

6-pack responded immediately with Nazhan capping off a brilliant move. After that it was all 6-pack as the defence went on SHUT OUT mode, frustrating the opposition players every time they got the ball.

It seemed that this time, it was the opposition who played like 6-pack, angry, frustrated and out of breath. By half time, 4 tries to 1 down..and all they saw were blurred visions of blue and white flashing past...

It was a coldhearted 6-pack in the second half as they piled on the tries. No smiles, no pats on the back, no congratulations, just an urgency to restart the game to score more. Guys out there to punish and silence critics. To quote the Lion Red Officials "6-pack were absolutely Tantalising"....

A sense of joy overcame everyone after the final whistle was blown...and everyone wanted to take photos of 6-pack...

After the game a player who only wished to be known as XJ came up to us and said "This victory is for my baby...Loo if ur reading this..know that my heart is with u k?"-obviously still very much in love with his former teamate who was hospitalised the day before, after getting hit on by a very large white male. He is diagnosed to be suffering from a certain type of concussion called Kok-Inda-Mouthosis...
