Coping with the Loss

This saturday, in the STL, we will see another titanic battle between arch-rivals, 6pack and Pukeko. The mood in both camps are constrasting, as Pukeko are supremely confident after their gritty 8-7 victory over the surprise team of the season, UWC-Bucks. Whereas the atmosphere at the Padang is currently sombre and depressing. It seems that former team captain, Leander's ACL tear has affected everyone in the team. The 6packian Times went down to the training ground to find out how exactly are the players coping with the loss.

Said Lee "The Shadow" Yum Hwa "You know normally our blog is about the funny happenings in 6 pack, but now its all about ACL tears and Gideon's maroon shorts. WTF! I mean what kind of guy wears...haiz..huh? Oh leander..good.. gif me munchies.. he i like"

It seems like Team Captain Alan is the only one in a happy mood lately, "oh I've not been getting any of the past few months, thank god she came back."

When asked about how Leander's injury has affected the team, the Wiganite skipper had this to say "Well you know, he's the inspirational captain and all. We're absolutely gutted to find out that he's going to be out for the whole year. But life goes on, 6pack's still gonna entertain the fans. Look we've just resumed our Gaydeon jokes again.."

Alan's smile turned into a frown after we asked him how it felt being the only Wiganite who has ever won anything.

A 6packian who asked not to be named, came up to this reporter and said "Aye we all miss Leander ok? But we will train hard, harder. We will put our heart and soul into the training. We will win the Pukeko for him." When asked why he had a syringe in his arm, he burst "Aye why? You not happy ar?!! Aye f**k you!! You come ar!!"

There you have it folks. It seems like 6pack have all the fire and rage they need to avenge the 4-3 loss suffered 3 weeks ago. It also seems that Leander's injury will only motivate the players to do better.
